Frequently asked questions.

What is Permanent Make-Up?

Permanent Make-Up is an advanced form of tattooing, however we do not infuse the pigments as deeply into the skin, so the results we achieve do not have the permanency of a conventional tattoo. Typically results last 12-24 months.

The specialised techniques used fare also referred to as semi-permanent cosmetics, permanent make-up, micropigmentation, cosmetic tattooing and microblading.

Will my results look unnatural?

It is of upmost importance to our head artist Charlie for your results to look natural or defined according to you preference. She has an advanced expertise and industry leading equipment and pigments and therefore can tailor any treatment to your preferences.

Does Permanent Make-Up hurt?

We often get asked this question. Most of our clients tell us no, it’s a little uncomfortable but not painful.

During your treatment to maximise your comfort, we’ll use effective numbing agents and state-of-the-art apparatus designed to cause minimal skin trauma and the least discomfort.

We never rush our treatments and therefore plenty of time is dedicated to ensuring your comfort.

How long does it take to heal?

For the first 4 days, you may experience minor redness and puffiness, mild tenderness, itchiness and dry flaky skin, these are all normal and part of the healing process.

Daily care for 7 days, keep your enhancement dry, no excessive sweating and do not splash you face.

However, do clean your enhancement twice daily with damp cotton pads.

Some itching is normal but DO NOT pick, peel or rub your enhancement as this could lead to scarring.

Allow your enhancement to flake away naturally.

No direct sunlight, makeup or beauty products for the first 2 weeks post appointment.

You will go through a few stages during the healing process, initially the colour will start off sharper and bolder in colour, it will soften out in the skin during the healing process.

Day 7-10, the enhancement will start to go dry and flaky, the colour underneath will look very light, please allow around 4 weeks for the colour to settle.

Bear in mind that some unevenness of colour is expected, this is the purpose of the 4-12 week touch up session. Long term care, use a good SPF as the sun will fade your enhancement.
